Every meter, running.

One sandbox with 4 vCPU and 8 GB, for one hour, at each provider that sells one. Their published rates, read from their own price sheets on 2026-09-11. Watch the hour go by.

Compute only: CPU plus memory, by the clock. Disk is left out because some providers include it and some meter it; ours is included. Cloudflare and Vercel bill CPU only while it is busy, so their meters run at full load. Modal prices a physical core as two vCPU. A RemoteHost sandbox that is asleep is billed nothing.

The same month, at your scale.

How many sandboxes run at once, and how many hours each runs in a month. It opens on fifty machines for 240 hours, the scenario Box's own calculator opens on.

Runtime only. Plan minimums sit outside it: ours starts at $20 a month on Starter, which covers the first hours at the same rate (pricing), and Box's is $20 too. Storage, egress and per-request fees, where a provider has them, are not included.

What each sandbox can do.

Read from each provider's own docs on 2026-09-11. Select any mark to read what it rests on: the note, the sentence it was read from, and where. Where the docs do not say, the mark says so rather than guessing either way.
